The 1996 Mercedes E320 sustained crash damage to the passenger side front. After we set up and measured the vehicle on the caro-liner frame rack, we found there to be extensive panel, sub frame, and suspension damage. Including consequential interior damage, IE; Driver/passenger airbags deployed, dash panel assembly, and passenger airbags deployed, dash panel assembly, and passenger side mirror. After a complete damage assessment report, we then began disassembly of all damaged panels and assemblies. After the disassembly we decided which parts would be salvaged off of our 1997 Mercedes E320, which parts would be purchased new or those which would need to be straightened and refinished. Once the damaged panels were removed we were able to attach the 10-ton hydraulic ram assembly to the frame rack and began the frame straightening repairs. Our initial pulls were to fix the sway problem of the passenger side front sub frame. This was accomplished by wrapping a chain around the misaligned sub frame, pulling in a straight, level manner opposite the direction of the misalignment. We did several pulls in this manner, stress relieving, before and during, with a ball peen hammer before repositioning for the next pull until brought back into specification. We then positioned our 10-ton ram to the passenger front for repair of the frame rail mash and sag situation sustained on impact. We wrapped the chain around crash impact bar and used it as the hook up point for our pulls. Pulling and stress receiving until it also was within specifications. Our final pull was to the suspension passenger side A-arm. We simply attached our chains to the A-arm and pulled it back into positio n. At this point, we could now begin sectioning and panel removal. This was first done by deciding which panels were to be removed and which were to be repaired. Then all of the spot welds that needed to be removed were marked with a paint marker, so as to only to remove the necessary welds. Some spot welds were located underneath seam sealer and or insulation. We then removed the material with a hand torch to burn the seam sealer, then a steel bristled brush to scratch off the burnt material. We then center drilled all of the marked spot welds with an 1/8â⬠drill bit, followed up by a 5/16â⬠spot weld removal bit to drill out the spot welds along all of the panels to be removed.

French Realism Throughout the ages, art has been one of many ways to communicate with our history. Every painting, drawing, sculpture, etc. Tells us a story of that time period and if we look hard enough, we can even feel what the people of that time may have been lining.In this essay, two pieces of art will be introduced and interpreted: The Milkmaid (circa 1657-1658) by Johannes Vermeer which is a Dutch Baroque oil painting that's 45. 5 x 41 CM located in Rasmussen, Amsterdam, Netherlands and Woman Baking Bread (1854) by Jean-Franà §ois Millet which is a French Realism oil painting that's 55 x 46 CM located in Rasmussen Kerrà ¶leer-MÃ'Ëleer, Otter, Netherlands. The agenda of this comparison is to understand different styles between the Dutch Baroque and French Realism, and to show how Vermeer andMillet deal with the same every day domestic theme in a different way. During the 17th century, artists were focusing more on emotion and drama, also known as the Baroque time period. The overall style of Baroque art in paintings is ââ¬Å"detailed realism in portraits, expansive landscapes, and a focus on the dramatic including the contrast between light and shadow and the use of rich, deep colors. â⬠(Minded, 2. 05) Vermeer worked mainly in the Dutch Baroque style and does a magnificent Job in portraying and bringing to life an everyday task in the life of a servant girl in The Milkmaid.On the other hand, Woman Baking Bread was painted in the Realist style during the 19th century. More specifically, this piece of art was painted in the French Realist style, which came about after the Revolution of 1848. Millet's ââ¬Å"use of a simple, natural style with warmer colors and heavy application of paintâ⬠(Minded, 3. 15) are characteristic traits in a Realist painting. Both works of art magnificently depicts the everyday domestic life. True to both styles, they both realistically depict a woman doing an every day task. Vermeer's is that of a milkmaid oaring milk and Millet's is that of a woman baking bread.However, both were painted in very different ways. Whereas Vermeer's work is a prime example of a Dutch Baroque painting with its realistic way of portraying an everyday task, the use of bold colors, the detail, and the deep contrast between light and dark, Millet's work is a prime example of a French Realist painting where the colors are warmer and much more simple. Vermeer was well known for his painstaking attention to detail. For example, ââ¬Å"the Jug and hands of the servant in The Milkmaid reveals a number of enticements, created as the artist struggled to depict them convincingly. (Frantic, 7)

In the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell, the pig Napoleon uses specific tactics to gain power and control over the animal farm. Some of these techniques include controlling information through education, scapegoating, use of fear, swaying public opinion and blind obedience. nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Throughout the novel, the most prominent way that Napoleon gained power was through controlling the education that the animals received. In the beginning of the novel, Snowball believes in educating all of the animals on Animal Farm, young and old, by trying to organize committees and instituting classes devoted to reading and writing (page 39). Because the animals dont have an education, they dont bother to think for themselves and instead take everything Squealer tells them for the truth. Analysis Of Jonathan Swift s Gulliver s Travels
How Jonathan Swift constructs and uses Gulliver in ââ¬ËGulliverââ¬â¢s Travelsââ¬â¢ Jonathan Swift was an English 18th century writer who supported the Monarchy and was a Royalist. He wrote this story while in a club, called ââ¬ËThe Scriblerus Clubââ¬â¢, in which there were 2 other members; Alexander Pope and John Arbuthnot. All three believed that the society they lived in was corrupt. In this story, Swift indirectly describes the many different faults with man-kind. The story is written in a satiristic style that makes fun of the bad things in society. Swift uses Gulliver to show how corrupt and cruel the 18th century English society was. Swift constructs Gulliverââ¬â¢s character through his first person narrative style. His narratives reveal that he is a rather unemotional character. This is shown when he describes and recounts dangerous situations in a matter-of-fact and passive style. A clear example of this is when his ship was destroyed in a storm and all of his companions were lost or dead; ââ¬ËTwelve of our crew were deadââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Ëwe therefore trusted ourselves to the mercy of the wavesââ¬â¢. Swift is clearly using Gulliver to represent many of the 18th century politicians who had a stiff upper-lip and were unemotional. He is used to satirise 18th Century English societyââ¬â¢s stereotypical ââ¬Ëstiff-upper lipââ¬â¢ approach in life, a character trait which may also be a source of humour for the reader. Question: Describe about the Qualitative Methods in Psychology ? Answer: Introduction: This assignment is about the effectiveness of the qualitative research approach in the area of the sports psychology. In order to fulfill the objective of this assignment, a research paper will be selected in the area of the sports psychology which has been done by following the method of the qualitative research approach. The research paper will be critically analyzed to know how the research has reached to the aim and what the potential benefits of the research work are. Critically analysis of the research paper will help to identify the future direction of this type research work by following both of the quantitative and qualitative research methods. The selected journal article for this assignment is Sources and Types of Confidence Identified by World Class Sport Performers written by Kate Hays, Ian Maynard, Owen Thomas and Mark Bawden which was published in the year of 2007. Different ways of examining the sports confidence have been analyzed in this research paper by following the qualitative research approach in the area of the sports psychology. The strengths and weaknesses of the qualitative research approaches used in the research paper will be discussed in this paper and the effectiveness of the use of the mixed method of research study. The details about the future design of the research area by using the mixed method will be also discussed in this paper. Critical Analysis: Research method and findings of the research study: The research study was conducted to understand the different factors of the sports and the sports development in athletes competing on the world class stage in the area of the sports psychology. The whole research study was completed by using qualitative research method. Literature review was conducted for developing the rationale of the research study. After that the data were collected by interviewing the sports personnel. In this concern, 14 athletes were interviewed or understanding what they think about the sports development. Out of the 14 athletes, 7 were male and other 7 were female sports personnel. The age group selected for this purpose was 21years to 48 years. Most of the sports personnel had medaled in a major championship. The research design of this study was the exploratory research design. The interviews were conducted by using some open-ended questions (Hays et al. 2007). The interviews were semi-structured in nature. The researchers have followed an interview guide for conducting the semi-structured interviews. They have divided the results of this research study into two categories. The first one is the sources of the confidence regarding the sports and the second one is the types of sports confidence. After collecting the data, the sources of the sports confidences were categorized into 9 different global dimensions (Hays et al. 2007). Strengths of the research study: The main advantage of this research study is the use of the human participants for conducting the research work. As the data were collected from some well developed sports personnel, the data might be reliable. The researcher have considered both of the male and females for collecting the data (Hays et al. 2007). This was a great advantage of the research study as the psychology of men and women are different. In order to get a balanced response from the respondents, the researchers have chosen both of the male and female respondents. Use of the open ended questions in the interviews, helped the researchers to get the detailed information about the perceptions of the sports personnel. They were not bounded to answer some specific facts of the area of sports confidence. This helped a lot to gather the in-depth knowledge about the perceptions of the sports personnel in sports confidence (Hays et al. 2007). Weaknesses of the research study: The main limitation of this research study also associated with the sample selection. Firstly, the sample size of the research study was too small. Gathering the research data from only 14 sports personnel are not enough for concluding the research findings in the area of psychology. Another limitation of the research study was that the sport personnel were from individual sports fields. The findings of the research study were unable to focus in the area of the team sports. Therefore, the research study was unable to provide a generalized view about the confidence in sports field. The sample size of the research study was small due to the time limit of the research study (Easterby-Smith, Thorpe and Jackson 2012). The method of the research study was also responsible for the small size of the sample population. The data collection procedure of the research study was only the interview. Interviewing a large number of people is not an easy task to be conducted as the sports personnel ar e not always available. The data analysis procedure of the qualitative research is also very complex. Analyzing the transcripts of the interviews and then fund the key findings from them with the details about their perceptions about the sports confidence is very complicated. The validity of the samples could not be guaranteed as fully reliable source as there was no way to be confident about that the transcripts of the interviews are stating the actual perceptions of them regarding the sports confidence. Future Direction: Future research study should be done in this field by considering greater sample size for the data. Only 14 sport personnel are considered for collecting the qualitative data of the research study. Smaller sample size is drawback of the qualitative research approach. Use of only interview method is not enough for collecting the data about the perception of the sports personnel. In order to use greater sample size, the research study should be conducted by using some quantitative data also (Chandra and Sharma 2013). The quantitative data should be collected from the sport personnel from different areas and different sports field. More area should be covered for the data collection of the future research study in this area. Different sport personnel of different field and the sports personnel who are used to participate in team sports should be considered as the sample population of the future research study. The research work should also give focus on the area of the area of the devel oping sport personnel. The environment of the sports is changing day by day and different types of sports are rising in the area of the global sports environment (Cameron 2009). Therefore, the new sports should be considered for the research study. It is very important to understand how the sports personnel of the new sports are thinking about the confidence in the specific sport field. The future research should cover a vast area where only the successful sports personnel will not be considered, more focus will be given for understanding the perceptions all the lower level and upper level employees. The findings of this research study will be used as the empirical data in the future research study in this area. Based in these data and other data from the previous literature, the hypothesis would be developed in the future research and the new data will be collected and then compared with these data for understanding the general viewpoint regarding the sport confidence (Creswell et al. 2010). Future research study by using the mixed research method will help to reduce the limitations of the research in the area of the sports psychology. Mixed Research method: According to Yin (2011), the mixed research methods are the most effective for conducting the academic research work. This research study also will be able to provide more effective results in future by using the mixed research methods. The literature research will be used for developing background details about the sports psychology. The data gathered from the literature research will be the secondary data of the research study. The research studies done by using both of the primary and secondary data and both of the quantitative and qualitative data are referred as the mixed method of the research work. The mixed research study of this research study will focus on the literature research for developing hypothesis (Easterby-Smith, Thorpe and Jackson 2012). The interviews will be conducted with the senior sports personnel such as coach, organizers etc. The data that will be collected from the interviews will be considered as the qualitative data of the research study. The limitations of the small sample size will be removed by the use of quantitative research method. A huge amount of data will be gathered from the sport personnel about what they are thinking about the sports confidence. In order to do that, a survey will be conducted among the sport personnel. The statistical analysis of the quantitative data will be simpler than the huge amount of the qualitative data. The survey will be conducted by using a survey questionnaire. Some closed ended questions will be given in the questionnaires (Creswell et al. 2010). The questions will be about the different point of views of the sports confidence. The limitation about the complexity of the data analysis will also be removed by the use of mixed research method. The quantitative data from the different sports areas will help to get more generalized psychological views of about the sports confidence. The data analysis procedure of the quantitative and qualitative data will be different. Statistical analysis will be conducted for the quantitative data of the research study and the deep observation will be conducted for the qualitative data of the research study. I have a deep interest in this subject and one day would like to pursue a career in Marine Mammal Biology. There are about 100 species of aquatic or marine mammals that depend on fresh water or the ocean for part or all of their life. These species include Pennipeds (seals), sea lions, fur seals, and walruses, Cetaceans (baleen and toothed whales, ocean and river dolphins and porpoises), Sirenians which are manatees. Scientists try to study there animals' genetic, systematic, and evolutionary relationships, population structure, community dynamics, anatomy and physiology, behavior and sensory abilities, diseases, geographic distributions, ecology, management, and conservation. The average salary a biologist makes a year ranges depends on the amount of experience one has. Most biologists make 30,000-40,000 a year. The work is usually back breaking and long hours out on the sea, extensive work on the computer, hauling buckets of fish to feed the animals, hours of clean-up, numerous reports, typing grant applications and permit applications. In fields of science, jobs dealing with marine mammals vary widely. Marine mammal jobs include researcher, field biologist, fishery vessel observer, laboratory technician, animal trainer, animal care specialist, veterinarian, whale watch guide, naturalist, educator, and government or private agency position in legislative, management, conservation, and animal welfare issues. Many marine mammals' scientists work with museum displays and collections, as a curator, an artist, an illustrator, a photographer, or a filmmaker. A broad education is necessary for finding employment in marine mammal science. High school courses such as biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science, and language, will provide a good educational base. You can talk to a guidance counselor for help in selecting course work. Good grades are important for admission to a university. Most entry-level marine mammal jobs require a B.S. degree, with a major in biology, chemistry, physics, geology, or psychology. A minor in any science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or engineering also can be helpful. Good language and technical writing skills are essential. Many people are surprised by the amount of writing involved marine mammal professions. Because marine mammals are found worldwide, foreign language training is often useful. The master's degree is usually the first opportunity that college students have to specialize in marine mammal science. Care should be taken to select an advisor with experience in the subject and a reputable university with a diverse curriculum that will enable a focus on marine mammal science. Students who have dual majors or interdisciplinary training sometimes have more employment opportunities. Because the field of marine mammal science is so diverse, students who train in specialized areas have practical tools that may help them gain employment. With a B.S. degree, positions include animal care specialist, animal trainer, field technician, laboratory technician, consultant for industry, and entry-level government position. Jobs at this level offer little opportunity for self-directed work. The M.S. degree can facilitate individual work with marine mammals, like designing research projects, developing management plans, supervising field or laboratory studies, or heading programs in education, husbandry, or training. The acquisition of a Ph.D. or D. V. M. provides more career opportunities, including design and management of field and laboratory research programs, university faculty positions, coordination of government and industry programs, and management positions in oceanaria or museums. There are very few universities that offer a marine mammal science curriculum. To select an undergraduate university, visit campuses and talk with professors and students about career interests. Most university libraries or counseling centers have university catalogs to look up schools who can provide you the classes you need. As a high school or undergraduate student, practical experience can be gained by volunteering at federal, state, or local organizations that work with marine mammals. This volunteer experience provides practical skills, an employer reference, a network of contacts in the field of marine mammal science, and most importantly helps determine whether this type of work is appealing. Many oceanaria, zoos, museums, and government agencies have internships that provide practical experience. Many careers in marine mammal science require experience in the marine environment.
